Our Church Project |

|
“Stay with me, Lord, so that I can hear Your voice and follow You.” (St. Padre Pio) |
|
Dear Catholic Friends,
Please accept our invitation to participate in the Latin Mass Community of North Central Arkansas’ Church Building Project. We have chosen this ambitious undertaking, for the Honor and Glory of God, to be in the name of our Patron Saint Padre Pio da Pietrelcina and we prayerfully seek his counsel and intercession. You may be interested to know that the beautiful Tridentine Latin Mass of St. Padre Pio is the same Latin Mass in the Extraordinary Form, offered by our Pastor Fr. Laurent Demets, FSSP. Our new church will include the specific architectural requirements that will enable this two thousand year old Catholic traditional worship of the Blessed Trinity to be properly celebrated. The altar facing the east, the tabernacle at the center and the faithful receiving Holy Communion on the tongue at an altar rail kneeling is proper for this August Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
We are prayerfully hoping that you and others like you will see how important our apostolate is. An intrinsic part of our mission is to practice and propagate these Holy Catholic Traditions handed down to us from the Apostles of Jesus the Christ; these same traditions that were so much a part of the Priest Saint Padre Pio’s holy life. Yes, this same St. Pio who lovingly memorized the Latin Mass of the Immaculata.
The St. Pio da Pietrelcina Church Complex will provide our growing community with Holy Mass, the sacraments and the liturgical life so fundamentally necessary for the spiritual development of the Catholic family. We are also actively engaged with the Catholic education of our children through our affiliate, St. John Bosco Academy.
Our St. Pio da Pietrelcina Community is asking for your financial assistance to bring the reality of this new Romanesque Catholic Church to the Ozarks. Our Chaplain Fr. Laurent Demets offers Holy Mass once a month for the benefactors of the community. The benefactors of this holy project will have their names inscribed and sealed in the high altar of the new St. Pio da Pietrelcina R.C. Church. Our plans, within a year, are to move into a temporary building we are about to purchase where we will be unrestricted by the expenses and limitations of renting a parish from the diocese of Little Rock.
Construction will begin when enough funds are available to begin the first phase of setting up parish operations in the temporary building. The second phase will be to make the permanent move to the new church and use the temporary structure for St. John Bosco Academy, which is currently operating out of the Ave Maria Hall at Star of the Sea Village. We are also working on a plan for pilgrimage events.
Since the release in 2007 of Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI there has been a profound change in the appreciation of the beauty of the Tridentine Latin Mass. Many requests are being received by The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter to establish new traditional apostolates and the requests for priest training of current priests to say the Tridentine Mass has increased.
Your prayers and generosity will make a difference in a modern society so in need of beauty, goodness and true charity. Whatever your level of support, you can be confident that your role in the St. Pio da Pietrelcina R.C. Church Building Project will be greatly appreciated. With your help we are building a future from which following generations of Catholic families will benefit.
May God Bless You Abundantly |
